Arrival at Izmir airport and transfer to Ephesus. After a 1 hour journey we reach the ancient city and the first visit of the day starts. (it was one of the largest cities of the Roman Empire during the PaxRomana(Roman Peace during the 1st and the 2nd centuries AD). Ephesus is also the native city of Heraclitus, the Obscure, who was a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher. During the tour, we visit the small theater (Odeon), the marble avenue, the Fountain of Trajan, the Temple of Hadrian, Roman Baths, the Library of Celsus (the most outstanding building in the ancient city), the great theater that had capacity for 25,000 spectators. Lunch. Later, we are visiting the House of the Virgin Mary (according to the Catholic Church, it was the last home of the Virgin Mary). Transfer to the hotel in Kuşadası.

Breakfast and departure from the hotel to Aphrodisias. After a journey of almost 2 hours, we visit the city of Aphrodite, Aphrodisias. Thanks to the nearby quarries, a famous sculpture school was born in the city in Roman times. We visit an old stadium with a capacity for 30,000 people, it is almost complete, the Tetrapylon which is one of the most beautiful structures in the city and an agora with its amazing pool. Lunch. The second and last stop of the day is Laodicea. It was one of the richest ancient cities in the area, it is also the seventh and last church of the Apocalypse (the last part of the bible, it is a letter written on the island of Patmos for the seven churches of Roman Asia). In Laodicea we walk through the Roman streets, visit its two ancient theaters, the nymphaeum (a monumental fountain), the agora (the main square), the Byzantine church and various other archaeological remains. Transfer to the hotel in Pamukkale. Dinner at the hotel.

Breakfast and departure from the hotel for the first visit of the day, Pamukkale (the cotton castle). Pamukkale is a wonder of nature, in reality they are natural pools formed by limestone. We have enough time to walk in the thermal waters (37 degrees). We also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, which is right next to Pamukkale. Lunch on the way. We have a 3 hour trip to the ancient city of Sagalasos. This city is a hidden gem of Turkey. It is located on a mountain of 1700 meters. It has a fantastic view. In Sagalasos we visit the Roman bath, the library, the theater, various other archaeological remains and more importantly, the agora where the Antoninus Nymphaeum is located (it is a Roman fountain that still works, it looks like the fountains of the city of Rome, ornamented with statues). Transfer to the hotel that is near the ancient city.

Breakfast, departure from the hotel. After a trip of 2 and a half hours we reach the sea level. The first visit of the day is Phaselis. It is an ancient city that is right next to the Mediterranean Sea. We walk through its streets, see the Roman aqueduct, visit the ancient theater and other Roman remains. The most outstanding part of this visit is the possibility of bathing in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. (During much of the year it is hot in this area, don’t forget your swimsuits!) Lunch. We have a 1 and a half hour drive to Demre town, where we visit Myra town. There we see the ancient theater, the ancient tombs dug out of the rocks. On this day a great surprise awaits us, if we talk about Saint Nicholas, many think that his birthplace was in one of the Nordic countries, but in reality he is not from northern Europe, he was born in the ancient city of Patara( is in the south of present-day Turkey). Later he became the bishop of Myra and after his death he was buried there. The last visit of the day is the church where Saint Nicholas was buried (although his sarcophagus is still in the church, his remains were taken to Bari, Italy). Transfer to the hotel in Kaş.

Breakfast, departure to the port of Üçağız, Kekova. We take our private boat and start our tour in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. We make a stop on the Kaleköy peninsula, where we visit an authentic village of this area. We walk through its pretty alleys, we go up to the castle to see the remains of the ancient city of Simena. Lunch on the boat. In the afternoon we continue sailing through the waters of the Mediterranean. We make several stops in some of the most beautiful bays in this area, we swim in the turquoise waters. In the afternoon we return to the port and have a 2 hour and 15 minute journey to Fethiye. Dinner and two nights of accommodation in Fethiye.

Breakfast, departure from the hotel to Kayaköy. It is a Greek town totally abandoned in the year 1924 (in this year, Turkey and Greece signed an agreement to change some citizens, Turks sent many Greeks to Greece and Greeks sent many Turks to Turkey.). We walk through the streets of this ghost town, we climb to the highest point to see the fantastic view of the sea. The second stop of the day is the famous Ölüdeniz (Dead Sea) beach. It has a unique view and many tourists to see this fantastic landscape better, do paragliding (we have time for those who want to have this unforgettable experience). Lunch. We take a boat to the valley of the butterflies (you can only get there by boat). It is a fantastic bay and it is also home to hundreds of different types of butterflies (in some seasons you see many butterflies, in some not). Return to ÖlüDeniz and transfer to the hotel in Fethiye.

Breakfast. Depart from the hotel to Dalyan. We have a 1 hour drive to Dalyan. Dalyan is a delta that connects Lake Köyceğiz with the Mediterranean. When we get there, we take a boat, we navigate the branches that form the delta (this area is one of the main breeding places for loggerhead sea turtles (Carettacaretta) in the Mediterranean. At the first stop we see the Lycian royal tombs dug out of the high rocks. Lunch on the boat (tourists often try the blue crab which is very common in the delta). We visit the ancient city of Kaunos, we see its theater, its natural ports already filled by alluvium and other archaeological remains. We return to Dalyan port. We have a 3 hour drive to Bodrum. Dinner and accommodation for two nights in Bodrum (Bodrum night life are very famous, you can go out to participate).

Bodrum is a very popular city among foreign tourists and Turkish celebrities. It was the famous ancient city of Halicarnassus where Herodotus was born He was called the father of history and lies. Also, in this city there was the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world), unfortunately it does not exist anymore. On the last day of our tour through the Turkish Riviera, we have a softer program. After breakfast, we leave to visit Bodrum castle. It is the most emblematic building in the city (at the same time this castle houses an important museum of the wrecked ships). In the afternoon you have free time to make the most of this brilliant city. Dinner and accommodation in Bodrum.

Breakfast. At an appropriate time, departure from the hotel to the Bodrum-Milas airport. From the center of Bodrum to the airport the journey takes 45 minutes. Check-in and end of the Tour “The Turquoise”.
