FAQ

Turkey has a wide variety of climates. The best seasons to visit Turkey are spring and fall (especially April, May, September, October). In the summer (June, July and August) especially in the south and west of the country it is hot and in the winter (December, January, February) especially in the east and central Anatolia it is quite cold. Although the weather changes a lot,Turkey receives tourists throughout the year.

In Turkey there are no laws or special rules about clothing. During their visits you can see totally covered women or women on the beaches with bikinis. Only during visits to temples (mosques, synagogues and churches) you must wear appropriate clothing (for example only during the visit of a mosque women and men cannot wear shorts and women have to cover their head with a scarf). Outside the temples it is your decision to wear what kind of clothes you want.

Many citizens of different countries can enter Turkey without a visa (most Latin American countries do not require a visa to enter Turkey), some can obtain their visa when arriving at airports in Turkey (such as citizens of the USA and Canada) . It is always better before starting your trip to check in your case if it is necessary to obtain a visa.

Also in Turkish cuisine there is an immense variety. Many think that Turks always eat a lot of spice. It is not correct, the typical dishes of eastern Turkey are quite spicy but in the eastern most typical is the Mediterranean diet, they eat a lot of vegetables, use a lot of olive oil, eat a lot of fish and seafood (of course! not spicy) . The best known dish in Turkey is doner kebap (basically roast meat), Turkey is also a paradise for sweet lovers, there is an incredible variety.
